Palace Suites Heritage Hotel – Adults Only

The bed was fantastic, I slept as well as I do at home. The room was spotless, with plenty of storage, coffee, a fridge, a safe, and a great bathroom and shower. The continental breakfast had a good selection, and the staff were friendly. The hotel is fabulous, right on the main square, with a recent modern refit finished to a high standard. Chrome, glass, and wood sit alongside old stone walls, keeping plenty of character and charm. I’d highly recommend it.

We had a top-floor room that was a decent size, modern, and had a very comfortable bathtub for unwinding after a long day. The staff were very friendly. Although the hotel is right on the central plaza, the insulation is so good that it was extremely quiet. Just two things to mention: I didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on it, and the elevator felt a little scary.

We slept so well here, and the simple room did everything we needed. The staff were welcoming when we checked in, and the location is great. Breakfast was our favorite part: simple, but the eggs and French toast were fresh. I’d highly recommend staying here when you come to Split.

The main thing to plan for is arriving on foot: cars can't enter this area, so we had to carry our luggage about 300-400 metres to the hotel. Once there, the location made everything easy. The palace, seafront promenade, shops and restaurants are close, and SPAR is roughly 50 metres away. Most of Split's lively spots are easy to reach on foot. Reception is on the first floor, and there's a lift to the upper floors. The building is old but has been updated with a blend of traditional and modern style. Our room was clean, comfortable and well cared for. Breakfast options were limited, though enough for us. I also really appreciated how clean the surrounding lanes were. We saw motorized cleaners washing them early in the morning, and the old streets looked lovely afterwards.
