Apartments Aurora

The apartments are lovely, comfortable and clean, with all the appliances we needed. There are toys for children too. We come every year and feel confident recommending the place.

It felt really cozy, with lots of little things that made it feel like home. We stayed with children, and there were toys in the room for them. The rooms were spacious and had a balcony. A wonderful hotel.

I stayed one night, from 11.2 to 12.2.2023. I’ll try to be as thorough and objective as I can. We arrived to find Mrs. Orijana, who was polite and approachable. The accommodation was tidy, clean, and nicely designed. It had the things you need, including a washing machine, coffee maker, kettle, and microwave. I also appreciated the clean dish sponge, detergent, hand soap, towels for quick cleaning, toilet paper, and other basics. We were given three clean towels per person, which was more than needed for one night. There were no feather pillows, a relief for us because we’re allergic to them, and there was a cot in the room (see picture). 5/5 The main disappointment was the heating. We’d agreed by phone that the apartment would be warm because we have a 2-month-old baby. Instead, it was about 10 degrees when we arrived, and the air conditioner wasn’t able to heat the place. Orijana knew about the baby, so this was especially disappointing. At our request, she brought another heater. We eventually got the space warm, but only overnight, by the next morning. There was no extra charge for the heater. 2/5 On price and timing, the nightly rate we paid was 55 euros, while the official price list in the apartment says 40 e from 1.1.-31.5 (see picture). I photographed the list as proof. It’s posted on the wall in the apartment, so it appears to be the valid list. In a phone conversation, no one mentioned an extra charge for using heaters. Mrs. Orijana also told us that the same apartment costs around 100 e in season, which doesn’t match the list either (see picture). Check-in was around 1 pm, although we’d been told it was after 3 pm, so they accommodated us, and I appreciated that. We left around 10:10 am. The official information says check-out is at 11 am, but a paper they printed and put by the entrance says 10 am (see pictures). Those posted rules don’t line up. Nobody complained about the extra 10 minutes, and they were fair when we left. I’d ask them to update the paperwork. They also mention extra services, like taking you around the city or to the plane, but there’s no price shown. Because of the price list and the conflicting arrival and departure times, I give this part 3/5. One safety concern: in the pictured cupboard in the apartment, I couldn’t find a differential switch (feed switch). Be careful to turn off the water heater when showering, and keep children from putting fingers in the sockets. An electrician should check the installation, since, as I understand it, current regulations and standards require a feed switch. It may be in another cupboard, but it wasn’t in the one shown in the picture. Overall, 3. If the accommodation itself matters to you as it does to me, I’d recommend it. But the price list didn’t make it fair to post one price and charge another.

The sea view was beautiful. The hotel was fantastic, very clean and pleasant. I highly recommend it.
