Apartments Glamour

The apartment is modern and clearly well thought out, and it was quiet, but getting around without a car is difficult. Parking downstairs wasn’t sorted out and was always busy because of the car wash below. The owners weren’t there when we left; on arrival, they just waved from the stairs. Internet and Netflix only worked from the second day. Sadly, the place was in very poor condition. The front door and shower door were broken, the table wobbled, the laminate was lifting, and the walls were dirty and cracked. There was dust, cobwebs and damp everywhere. The bedding was shabby and torn, and the room and towels smelled bad. In this condition, it wasn’t worth the money.

We were very happy with the stay, and the current price for this wellness apartment is €120 a night for two people. The large parking lot across the street was handy, and there are cameras in front of the apartment so it’s quiet at night. Everything worked well in the jacuzzi, and the bedroom had a Smart TV and free WiFi, so we could connect and put on music or whatever. The welcome was lovely too: the apartment was clean and tidy, the jacuzzi had just been filled, my wife got a rose, and wine glasses, bathrobes and towels were ready. They also left us 3in1 coffee bags and cookies for the morning. Communication and arrangements with the host went smoothly from the start.

Our King suite had a three-person whirlpool tub, a hydromassage shower and a sauna, all for our use. The tub had Bluetooth speakers and lights inside and around it, controlled with a remote. The sauna and shower are basically one combined unit. There were towels and bathrobes for us, plus two shampoo sachets, two bars of soap and a toiletry set. I would have liked a shower cap as well. The room had a king-size bed, wardrobe, TV above a fake fireplace, and a table with two chairs for breakfast. Breakfast provisions were limited to a kettle, two instant coffee sachets and two tea bags. Since the apartment is listed as three stars on booking, I’d suggest offering more coffee and a wider choice of tea so guests can have them more than once during the day. The bathroom’s main drawback was the toilet in an open area in front of the whirlpool. I’d have preferred it in a separate space or behind a door. The apartment is in a fairly quiet area, about 5-10 minutes from the city center, and has different room types with varying sizes and services. I was very pleased with the decor and service. The manager was kind at check-in and explained how to use the sauna and whirlpool. Check-in is from 16.00 and check-out is at 12.

A lovely spot to unwind for a special occasion. For the price, though, I wish the jacuzzi water had been warmer :)
