Executive Villas

I know the menu at La fouchèt so well that maybe it needs a refresh, lol. I’m there every Wednesday for the sushi special and back on Saturdays for a drink. The managers are really friendly, always around to say hello and hear suggestions. It’s my favorite spot for food and drinks, so give it a try, you won’t regret it.

I spent a week in a studio at Executive villas, and it suited me perfectly. The room was a decent size and affordable, with a fridge and microwave for keeping food and water. There’s also a restaurant on site with good food. It felt like a safe place to stay while visiting Haiti.

I stayed in a clean Studio with AC, a twin bed, and a sofa bed in the living room. It had a small table area, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, electric oven, non-stick pan, dishes, cups, glasses, bowls, and a 5-gallon water container. The bathroom is small, but the shower has hot water. Breakfast comes with the price, and for dinner you can order from the restaurant, eat there, bring food in, or cook for yourself. There’s also a pool, spa, and gym, with the gym open all day and night. The pool wasn’t clean during my stay. There’s free WiFi and a secured parking lot at the entrance. You can request either a Studio or an apartment. Staff wear masks and provide good service. Payment is by cash or Visa/MasterCard, not local debit cards like Unibank tout kote or SogeIzi.

Executive villas has remained my first pick when I travel to HAITI. The armed guard is there around the clock, and the place feels like a peaceful oasis amid the political unrest and chaos nearby. The staff have helped make my stays enjoyable, especially the concierge, “Jonas”, who has excellent customer service skills and speaks English very well. There’s a supermarket close by, plus the onsite restaurant, la fourchet. For lodging near the AMERICAN Embassy, with good food, continuous A/C and wifi, and great service at a reasonable price, I’d recommend Executive villas.
