Aura Hotel - Adults Only

We stayed in winter, and the wellness area was good. One of the spa staff kept an eye on where guests were, then activated the pool's massage jets or the jacuzzi accordingly, which was a big plus. The saunas were relaxing too. The restaurant was amazing. Breakfast had both savory and sweet options, all well prepared. Dinner was lighter but still filling, with a mix of hot menu dishes and cold buffet items. Credit to the chef or chefs! The room was okay, though it could have used a little more cleaning. It was also hard to sleep with the heating locked at 27 C and no way to adjust it. Opening the balcony door cooled things down, but only for about an hour.

We liked the hotel enough to stay an extra night and would definitely come back. The spa area is modern, the parking felt safe, and there were no crowds. The hotel sits in a quiet residential neighborhood, with the promenade, restaurants, and other tourist attractions within walking distance. A lovely surprise was the nearby beachfront, where access to the lake was free, which is unusual for beaches on Balaton. The rooms were clean, the food was delicious, and the location was excellent.

There were six of us in the family, and we always had our own table for breakfast and dinner. I liked the option to order the main course à la carte, then pick something small or a dessert from the buffet. The hotel was very nice and clean. Highly recommend it, great value for money in Füred.

The food was outstanding and the spa was amazing, though that standard of spa is common in Hungarian hotels like this. The rooms were nice too. What left a bad taste was the lack of a smart TV and the way the staff were treated, which seemed to leave the team overworked and understaffed. The staff themselves made an incredible effort, and without that, our stay would have been ruined.
