The front desk clerk was attentive and helpful, and the pricing was very competitive for such good value. The rooms are large and very clean, and nearly meet four-star standards, though the pillows were limited in number and quality. The design could feel more inviting, but it’s not a major issue. This former AirBnB has become a garni hotel because of current regulations in Budapest’s 6th district. It’s one of the best locations in Budapest for all kinds of travellers, whatever the reason for their visit.

We had a spacious room with a Nespresso machine. The perfect location helped a lot, with tram lines 4 and 6 and metro line 1 all less than 2 minutes away. It was a little noisy at night, but after a full day exploring, falling asleep was easy.

We couldn’t travel in the end because my boyfriend got sick, but the hotel handled everything so kindly. We had a 5-night booking and I asked them to keep it open in case he felt better and we could go two days later. A receptionist called to reassure me and even offered an extra night free if we changed the dates. Although we still couldn’t make the trip, the hotel offered us a discount on a future stay. Their concern and kindness meant a lot. We’re looking forward to visiting Budapest and will definitely book with them. Thank you, and see you soon!

The reception staff went beyond what I expected when I arrived without a reservation, helping me find a room that suited my needs. This was my first hotel stay in Budapest, and Adagio Downtown Rooms made it a great experience from start to finish. The room was ready early, so I was allowed to check in ahead of the usual time. The receptionist greeted me kindly, showed me the room and answered my questions. From my experience, it’s a cosy, affordable place and well worth it.
