Ariel Studio Close to St. Stephen Basilica

The apartment is tiny but comfortable and has what you need. It's inside a dilapidated building, though. The host kindly let us leave our bags at their office after the 11 am check-out, until 6 pm, and the assistance was thorough and helpful. For getting around, it's very central: 10 meters from the Ferris wheel, metro, and bus stops, and five minutes from the main street.

The location is ideal for nearby sights and public transport, but the apartment was a complete disappointment. The electric stove was broken when we arrived, and the hot water boiler was disconnected, leaving us without hot water until the next day. Two days before our stay there had also been a general breakdown, and we had no water in the bathroom. Problems affected three of our five days in Budapest.

The hosts were professional and easy to reach whenever needed. The apartment had everything we needed, plus some thoughtful little touches. It’s right in the center, with the sights close enough to reach on foot.

The price is fair and it’s fairly clean, with the center nearby. The downside was the dated equipment, and some of the cups were dirty and cracked.
