If you want to sleep, avoid this place. The room was okay, though somewhat grubby, but the service afterwards left me no choice but to write a negative review. On the first night, the bed squeaked whenever I moved, waking me up. Around 4 AM, drunk people in the corridor right outside my room kept repeating themselves. Night two was much worse: a woman in the ground-floor flat screamed all night, and neighbors started yelling back. She was also constantly squeezing dog toys and banging against the bars on her window. When I told Budapest holiday colours, they said they knew about the problem and there was nothing we could do. It seems to be a common issue they hide from guests when they book. If I’d known, I might have been able to prepare for how terrifying and awful it was. The receptionist at check-in was lovely, but afterwards the service was awful when I tried to reach an agreement. I got no sleep for two days, it greatly affected my trip, and they’ve chosen to ignore my messages.

Susi was really nice, polite, and helpful. The location is wonderful if you want to be near the city center, and the room was renovated, clean, and beautiful. We had hot water around the clock. It’s good value for money, though we could hear noise from other guests.

The room was basic but comfortable, with the minimum needed for cooking and a reasonably sized fridge. The walls are a bit thin, though the neighbors weren’t loud. The only real problem was the mattress support slipping out of its frame. I had to put it back in the middle of the night.

The host was super nice, and the apartment was cute, cozy, and clean. Deák square is only a five-minute walk away. A really nice place for a weekend stay.
