Callas House

We were looking for somewhere near the Christmas markets and other sights for our first trip to Budapest, and this hotel exceeded what we expected. The room was excellent, the breakfast area was first class, and the welcome at reception felt warm and genuine. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night for New Year’s Eve, and the team made it feel special from the first booking email right through checkout. The receptionist was genuinely charming and welcoming. Even in such a central spot, the room stayed impressively quiet, and the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. Thanks so much, we’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Budapest.

Right beside the Opera house, this is a beautiful hotel with distinctive styling. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was modest in choice but delicious. The design is fabulous, though the rooms are starting to feel a little dated.

My room had a small rooftop terrace overlooking the Opera, which was absolutely stunning. The rooms are exceptionally stylish, the restaurant where breakfast is served is beautiful, and reception staff were polite and helpful. My stay would have been perfect if I hadn’t had to return the next day for a t-shirt I’d left hanging in the closet, only to find it hadn’t been returned. I know leaving it there was my oversight, but I don’t believe the explanation that the cleaning staff didn’t find anything. Clothing hanging in a wardrobe is hard to miss. Guests’ belongings should be secured, and staff should know how to handle situations like this.
