Danubius Hotel Astoria City Center

We slept really well, and our room on the sixth floor had a lovely view over the avenue and city. The hotel has an art deco look and nice colors. It's vintage, but it still delivers the services I'd expect at a four-star level. It's a historic place, a few blocks from the Hungarian history museum and close to very nice cafes and restaurants. The front desk team was great at getting us checked in and handling requests. My husband and I asked for two extra pillows and a non-slip shower mat, and they were in the room when we got back from our day-long tour. I also mentioned that the single-bed mattresses weren't firm enough, and they replaced them with better ones. Our housekeeper kept everything perfectly clean. The restaurant staff were attentive too. We only tried a snack, but the duck liver paté, national cold Tocai wine, and strawberry rhubarb soup were delicious. Truly recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and had a nice balcony. This heritage hotel is right in the city center, with trams, buses, and metro lines easily accessible. The Jewish quarter and St Stephen's cathedral are within walking distance, and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby.

Transport is right outside, with trams, metro, buses, electric scooters, and bikes all nearby, and the hotel is in the city center. The room was clean, had a high ceiling, stayed warm, and always had ideal water temperature. The morning receptionists were polite, and the cleaners did a very good job. The night shift receptionists, though, couldn't help us with some important information.

The room was really comfortable, and the hotel's design is amazing. The service was nice, although a few workers were a bit rude, nothing too dramatic. Great location too.
