Sunshine Hotel - Budapest

It's a remote part of Budapest, but the more attractive price compared with the center made it worthwhile. Inside, the rooms were cozy and clean, with a modern look, comfortable beds even for tall people, and a bathroom that was top notch. The one letdown was the reception advice: we were told we could use the sauna in the morning and check out an hour later, but someone else at reception said the next day that we couldn't.

The room cleaning was disappointing, and the bed had stains. The pillows were oddly shaped and really uncomfortable. We stayed two days, but the maid didn't change the towels. There was a towel for feet in the sauna covered in black spots, better not to have put it out at all. Otherwise, no complaints. The hotel itself was okay, and the reception staff were friendly and explained everything we needed to know about our stay.

We had an early flight and needed one night in Budapest, so being close to the airport bus worked perfectly. The receptionist was wonderful and even offered us a beer. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and in the morning we were greeted with a smile and water. Really good for the price, I'd recommend it to anyone.

The breakfast was an extra charge, but very good, with plenty to choose from, including vegan and gluten-free options. The hotel is lovely, and our room was spacious with comfortable beds, though the pillows weren't great. Parking also costs extra, which you wouldn't expect.
