The rooms had what we needed and were clean, and the price was very good. With the keycard system, coming back to the pension felt like returning home. Its location was extremely convenient, right by all kinds of public transport in central Budapest, including the metro and tram. The rooms were okay, but the heat was a bit much, especially in the afternoon. We couldn’t get the AC working, and there was no remote control for it. You can hear the second-floor rooms very clearly from the first floor, so be aware if noise bothers you.

The room was spacious, with a decent shower and bathroom, and the price was reasonable. There’s also a breakfast room and kitchen around the corner. The location was fairly good. The downside was the smell, which was really damp and mouldy, unpleasant and not good for your health. The street was noisy, so leaving the window open overnight was impossible. Our room was over the doorway, and smoke from people smoking there drifted up through the window.

The desk staff were really accommodating when I missed my early train. They let me check out three hours late without charging extra, and didn’t give me a hard time about returning the key card deposit a day late. The room was clean and nicely decorated, and the air conditioning kept it comfortable during the 35-degree heatwave.

The window looked straight onto a construction site, and no daylight came through at all. In the bathroom, there was someone else’s hair in the sink. There was no shampoo either, only hand soap.

The floor was very, very dirty, though the location was great and the room was comfortable. I’d asked for a couple’s bed in my booking, but they gave me a double bed instead.
