Budapest Luxury Apartments

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed, and felt like fair value for the price. The accommodation itself was pleasant and met our expectations. We could walk to everything from this excellent central location, and the neighborhood felt safe throughout our stay. There were two problems that really affected the stay. The bathroom had a very strong, unpleasant smell, possibly from humidity or drainage, and it was impossible to ignore. Also, the stairwell light switch was faulty. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t, and the stairs were left completely dark.

The stay itself went well, but I was really upset when I came back to collect my luggage and found some of my things had been stolen from the lobby. Guests leave their belongings here trusting the place to look after them. There needs to be someone responsible for keeping an eye on the luggage room.

A clean, modern place that worked well for a budget stay, with all the basic amenities. It’s close to Elisabeth bridge, the city center, shops, and plenty of restaurants. The staff were very accommodating, too.

The shower setup is badly designed, and the bathroom developed a horrible damp smell that spread into the room whenever its door was left open. The room itself was mostly clean, the apartment is in a great spot, and late check-in was possible for a fee. We were in Budapest for the Grand Prix. After a long, hot day out, we got back around 7:45pm and our key card wouldn’t work. We called the advertised number more than 20 times before anyone arrived, about half an hour later, to sort it out. The next day, the hosts finally replied to my Whatsapp messages and said help was only available through Whatsapp before 5pm. When I asked where that had been stated, they said “everywhere,” then claimed it was in the Booking.com messages. I asked them to point out the exact message, and the three they sent didn’t say that. The way they handled it felt rude, and they made me feel foolish, though our other interactions had been pleasant. Their number was advertised as available until 11pm, so waiting half an hour after all those calls was unacceptable, especially for the price. We asked whether they could do anything to make up for the inconvenience, but they said nothing could be done.
