The noise was the worst part of my stay. The walls and ceiling are so thin that I could hear the people upstairs walking, talking, and shifting things around. A high school group on my floor also ran through the corridors screaming, moving furniture, and partying late at night. I told the staff, but it didn't get better, and I barely slept over four nights. I don't see how that fits a four-star hotel. My room felt gloomy and depressing, with dark marks all over the walls. The kitchenette was in rough shape too, and parts of its furniture were coming loose. I've stayed in two-star hotels that were much better. I can't understand the four-star rating. As a guest, I shouldn't have to guess whether better rooms are available or treat poor conditions as normal. I also saw similar aggressive, dismissive replies to other negative reviews. That doesn't show professionalism or an ability to take criticism. The room I stayed in was the one assigned to me, and the hotel said in its own response that it was fully booked. The problems weren't just the wall marks; the kitchenette furniture was coming apart too. The students were guests, but that doesn't make the late-night screaming, furniture moving, and parties okay. I reported it and nothing improved. I never mentioned the hotel's location in my original review. That was made up in the reply. I'm adding this to clarify things for future travelers, not out of anger. My stay and the hotel's response both confirmed my first impression. A second update: the hotel changed its response after my previous update, which raises concerns about its honesty and professionalism. In the latest reply, it said, “the staff said you did not ask for room change even after he offered you.” That's false. Nobody offered me another room. When I complained about the noise, no alternative or “emergency room” was suggested. Saying otherwise after an alleged investigation is simply untrue. I'm calling out “he offered you” in case the hotel changes or rewrites its response again. It's the hotel's responsibility to provide rooms in acceptable condition. Guests shouldn't need to ask for a room change to escape noise, poor maintenance, or discomfort. Blaming someone for not requesting an escape from a problem that shouldn't exist is unacceptable and unprofessional. Calling my review “exaggerated” or “overwhelmed” doesn't change the fact that a room change was never offered. Claiming it was is a lie, not an opinion. Future guests can add dishonesty to the other issues I described. This update corrects false public statements made by the hotel.
