We had a large, clean private room with its own bathroom, facing the inner courtyard. The area felt like a nice modern city-centre neighbourhood, with cafés and restaurants nearby, and the place was easy to find and enter using the phone. Check-in and unlocking through the app were simple, and I got all the details by email. The reception was closed, but they answered messages very quickly. I’d recommend this hostel for a city-centre stay.

I never stayed at the property because urgent, unavoidable circumstances meant I had to cancel. I contacted the hotel right away to ask for a refund, and they confirmed in writing that I’d receive the full amount back. After more than 10 days of delays and repeated follow-ups, they changed their position and refused the refund, citing a “no-show” policy. Nobody had told me during our communication that my case would be treated as a no-show. Instead, I was repeatedly assured the refund would be processed. I have written proof of that confirmation. This left me concerned about how reliable and consistent the hotel’s information is. I’d strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this property.

The room was clean, and the housekeepers were amazing. The reception service, though, was the worst I’ve experienced in any country I’ve visited. Their stated opening time was 11, but when I arrived a little early, I was left outside in the cold until 12. I’d tried to contact them about arriving early, but nothing came of it. There was nowhere to wait indoors: I couldn’t enter the lobby, leave my bag, or sit down, and they didn’t respond until later. Not recommended.

The location is great, within walking distance of the nearest metro. The rooms were okay and cozy, though they smelled old when we first arrived, then the smell faded. The beds seemed old too, and creaked whenever you turned in your sleep. The bathroom was clean and all its amenities worked properly. There are high-tech locks on every door that only open with a phone, so make sure yours has enough charge when you return from the ruin pubs 😉 If you’re a light sleeper, noise from the pub next door could disturb you. Also, it’s an old building with no lift and quite a few stairs, so consider that if you have heavy suitcases.
