This is the best model shop I've ever been to.

A good spot if you enjoy building your own miniature train world.

My friends had said a lot of good things about this store, so I went for the first time. The salespeople were kind and helpful when I bought from them. They also do assembly, digitizing, and sound systems for models, alongside selling them.

I won't be returning to this store, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who cares about model quality, a cooperative relationship with the shop, helpful service, or being treated with respect. Collectors, showcase builders, and other demanding modelers should stay away. My latest visit was Saturday, May 2, 2026, at about 1 p.m. It was my third time there to buy something. I asked for five Roco 6600097 closed freight car (type Gg) models. The seller, who owns the shop, handed them over, and I said I wanted to check the cars before paying. I wore rubber gloves, good quality ones. Only one of the five passed inspection and was flawless. Two had roofs with three different colors: red at the left front, pale red in the middle, and dark red with light spots at the other end. The sides of the remaining two were yellowish and blotchy. They looked like scrap, and I assume there was a painting mistake during production. I pointed out the defects, but the seller didn't even look at them and seemed not to care. When I asked to see a few more cars, he was reluctant and sulky. He said he'd bring out three more, but I shouldn't inspect any others or open any more products. Then he asked what I expected from a model costing 13,000 HUF apiece. I told him the price didn't matter to me. Whether it's a 60 million car, a 140,000 HUF sound locomotive, or a 13,000 HUF freight car, I expect a flawless product for my money. He replied that I was part of the 1% who didn't like this “quality”. That judged me as a customer and made the exchange personal. He didn't insult me directly, but he did dismiss modelers' standards. In my experience, most modelers care about the quality of what they spend their money on, especially collectors. His complaint about “unpacking” was also ridiculous. Lifting the box lid and folding back the plastic hardly counts as unpacking. The whole interaction felt arrogant, unwilling, personal, and uncooperative. I've bought models in person in Hungary and Germany, and never been treated like this, despite having spent millions of forints on models. There's room for improvement, dear happy model. Remember, you're there to serve modelers, not the other way around. Before this, I'd bought from the shop twice on weekdays and been helped by an older salesperson. He was very cooperative, helpful, and knowledgeable, and had no problem with me checking or exchanging models. I'm grateful for his help and attitude. Unfortunately, I didn't get the same treatment on the weekend.
