I let the owner know ahead of time that circumstances beyond our control meant we couldn't come, after an upsetting family situation forced us to cancel. They still kept our money and showed no understanding. It felt like the business cared only about getting paid, not about us as customers. Avoid it if you can.

We were charged 30 euros just to leave and catch our flight after being told we couldn't go out between midnight and 6am. There was no reason given. They also demanded cash off the books. The listing advertised an open pool and badminton, which was the main reason we came, but the pool was shut and the manager seemed not to know what badminton was. There was no kettle or tea or coffee in the room, and the beds were uncomfortable. We were also asked for our key when we went to a restaurant, and I don't know why. The staff were rude and didn't speak English. The rooms and facilities were very poor, and the whole place felt shabby enough to need knocking down. The workers seemed like they should have retired 25 years ago. It felt like a place that could drive you mad. The 5* reviews seem fake to me. Worst hotel room ever, and I wouldn't go back even if someone paid me.

We had a lovely stay, though it was only one night. The staff were welcoming and excellent, and the garden was beautiful. The heated swimming pool was great too. It's just perfect for families, and we'd love to stay longer next time.

The procedures made things awkward, and at times the place felt more like someone's house than a hotel. You can't take your keys out, and if you forget to hand one in at reception when leaving, you get almost shouted at like a child. You have to say when you'll be back. If it's late, they'll put your keys in a little safe inside and give you a code for the outside door. Most of the staff were friendly, though blunt about rules they clearly had to enforce for management. There are extra charges for nearly everything. The safe and minibar are as you'd expect, but eating your own food at the outdoor tables costs extra, as does borrowing plates or cutlery to use in your room. Lose a key and the charge is €100. The processes feel archaic and not customer friendly. The facilities themselves were great, with a pool, outdoor gym, sunloungers and canopies for some. Breakfast was lovely, and the rooms were a good size, with a fridge, AC, safe, table and chairs.
