Hotel Oswaldo

I ended up here by chance with my best friend, who passed away shortly after the trip. This place will always hold those last moments with him for me. Andras and his friend were kind and helpful, and everything was clean. The dogs were so friendly and playful, one of the most unforgettable memories from that visit, and they warmed my heart. Thanks again for everything.

Andy, the owner, really looks after his guests. I haven’t had such personal help from a hotel manager in a long time. He explained where to find a good local restaurant and how to use public transport, and even gave me a drink when I arrived. You can arrange breakfast, and there’s great parking if you come by car. If you’re using public transport, a direct tram goes to the city centre in about 30 minutes. I really enjoyed my stay.

The garden is a lovely, relaxing place for breakfast or a drink, and the rooms are clean with everything you might need. If something’s missing, just ask at reception. They’ll help you find it, always with a big smile. The owner really is the heart of Hotel Oswaldo, working hard day and night for the place and its guests. The best part for me was his super cute, clever dog, who’ll play with you nonstop. It’s one of the most heartwarming hotel experiences I’ve had. I’d absolutely choose Hotel Oswaldo again if we return to Budapest.

It’s a budget-friendly place in Budapest, with clean rooms and tidy surroundings. The owner is very friendly, happy to guide you, and always there to help. It’s a little far from the tourist sights, but manageable if you get a day travel pass. I recommend it.
