ibis Budapest City

I just got back from two nights in Budapest and had a great time. The hotel was what I’d expect from a budget place, and the staff were really nice and accommodating. I loved the little Halloween touches too. I did miss having a kettle in the room. The location was pretty good, about a 15-minute walk from the centre, with buses and the metro available as well.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. We had no kettle, and the temperature control in our room didn’t work, so we turned it off and opened a window. The nearby major road was loud, so we shut the window again at night. Our safe was faulty and wasn’t replaced as promised.

Our room was a comfortable, spotless place to unwind after sightseeing, and the location made getting around easy. Many places were walkable, and there’s a major station right next door for public transport. We stayed for seven days and had a wonderful time. The reception team were welcoming and helpful throughout, and there was plenty of information about tourist attractions. We’d gladly stay again and recommend the hotel.

I’d stay here again. We spent four nights in a clean room with comfortable beds, and the TV had channels from several countries. The location is central and convenient for transport, though the area around the hotel is noisy. Staff interactions were pleasant. The only thing missing for me was tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
