It’s calm and really family-friendly, and I’m planning to come back with my kids soon. The spot is a stone’s throw from the busy city centre but feels lovely and quiet. There’s a cute cafe by the entrance for coffee or whatever drink you fancy, then you can wander through the green gardens and little playgrounds. There’s even a notebook vending machine if you’re in the mood to write. Definitely worth a visit with kids.

We stopped at this lovely little park in November and found a quiet break from the city. It sits east of the Hungarian Literature Museum, under mature trees that give shade in the warmer summer months. The garden has four distinct playground areas, several small statues, flower beds, benches, and patches of grass. There’s a water fountain too, but it was closed for winter when we visited. I can’t remember whether the restroom costs anything. One statue is Karoly the rabbit. The plaque explains the story of this abandoned pet, who was adopted by the neighborhoods around the garden, and why he became so special to the place. If you’re nearby, stop in and enjoy this well-kept, peaceful garden, even if you only have a minute or two.

A lively park for families in one of Budapest’s prettiest areas. There are university campuses, libraries, cafés, and restaurants nearby, making it a perfect place for a short break.

A peaceful little spot to get away from the noise of the city centre. There are places to sit and relax, table tennis, and playgrounds for children. It also has a water fountain, a drinking water fountain, book crossing, and a toilet, though I’m not sure whether it’s free.

Lovely and peaceful, tucked into the city center and beautifully maintained. I spent several hours sitting on the grass reading, and it was just the perfect place for that.
