Maharaja Apartments and Rooms

So comfortable and just perfect.

The location was the one positive, but the rest of the stay was very disappointing. The building’s inner courtyard was dirty and badly neglected, and the apartment didn’t look like the owner’s photos at all. Our room wasn’t very clean, and there was no hot water. When we reported the problem, nobody made an effort to fix it. Later we saw water from the boiler overflow running into a mop bucket beside an electrical socket. I could mention more bad experiences, but I’ll leave it there. I don’t recommend this place.

There was at least one small relief: we could lock our door. The apartment itself was awful, with no electricity at the sockets and no hot water, not even lukewarm. Water was spilling from the boiler’s overflow beside a socket. Two other rooms in the apartment were rented to other guests, one to Polish men and one to Russian men. The Russians came into the kitchen playing loud music and opened our door to invite us for a drink. I won’t even get into the courtyard.

The building was in bad shape, with crumbling plaster in the courtyard, along the circular corridor, and beneath the balconies. Inside, cleanliness was questionable, there was no hot water, and the kitchen sockets didn’t work. They apparently thought five of us could fit in a 4+1 arrangement, with one person sleeping in a “room” in the corridor. The other people there also affected our stay, and we really enjoyed that too!!! I don’t recommend it at all!!!
