There’s a tram and metro stop two or three minutes away, with connections to pretty much anywhere. I think a 24-hour citywide train pass was around €5 per person. Nearby, there are restaurants and cafés within a 5-10 minute walk, Buda Hill is about 15 minutes away on foot, and you can also stroll along the river. The apartment is right across from the river, with a really beautiful view of the parliament building. Street parking was plentiful around the building, and we had no trouble finding a spot, though I guess that isn’t guaranteed. It’s a quaint place on the 4th floor, and having an elevator was helpful. My wife handled communication with the host, and I’m not sure what it cost, but I assume it was reasonable since we don’t have loads of money. All in all, it worked out great for our Budapest stay.

You can see the Parliament from this clean, cozy apartment, and the photos show it just as it is. There’s even free coffee inside. The owner was very helpful, and with tram and underground stations, grocery shops, and cafés all nearby, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The owner greeted me warmly and couldn’t have been more helpful. The apartment was roomy and very clean, with good facilities, and from the seventh floor there was a wonderful view over the town. Its central location made shops and tourist attractions easy to reach, with bars and restaurants a comfortable walk away. Staying there gave me a good feel for real Hungary. I’d thoroughly recommend the experience.
