Mono Apartments

We paid about £226 for two people for two nights, and it really wasn’t worth it. The bed was comfortable and the location was good, but the place felt neglected and had one irritating problem after another. The bathroom floor kept flooding because the water wouldn’t drain, there was nothing to wipe it with, and the basin’s hot tap had almost no pressure. The towels were thin and cheap, as was the pillow, and there was nowhere to put a washbag or suitcases. The curtains were coming down, and the bedside lamp bulb had gone and wasn’t replaced when we asked. The electricity also went out, taking hours and several phone calls to fix. When we called, they first told us to try the fuse box ourselves. It was high up near the ceiling over some rubbish bins, and the only thing to stand on was a rickety chair. Someone seems to have added a roll top bath and vintage looking furniture without considering whether the place was practical, then given up. The kitchen cabinet was too high even for very tall people, and the kettle blew the electrics. It felt like a rip off.
