Basilica

The room was beautiful and spotless, and booking directly brought us a complimentary upgrade. We were celebrating a special occasion, and the hotel team helped make it memorable with warm, attentive service and great communication from beginning to end. We had a fantastic stay at Radisson Collection Budapest and highly recommend it.

The staff were attentive and really helpful, and breakfast is well worth trying. Our suite looked out over the Basilica, and the hotel was clean, beautifully designed, and smelled lovely. We stayed over valentines weekend, and the hotel was a huge part of a memorable trip. The bed was one of the best I’ve slept in. Thank you for such a lovely weekend.

Being right across from the Basilica gave us a lovely view of it and the Christmas markets below. The blackout curtains made the room completely dark at night, and the soundproofing was great. We heard the odd person outside our door, but nothing through the walls. Our room had high ceilings, a big comfortable bed, and a decent desk. The bathroom was spotless and spacious, with both a rainfall shower and a standard one. The toiletries were genuinely nice. Tea and coffee were provided, though fresh milk in the fridge would have been better than UHT. The whole hotel was clean, and it smelled almost like a spa. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We got there around 11am, well before check-in. The staff were welcoming, offered us a drink, asked about our trip, and stored our bags while we went exploring. Check-in later was easy, and checkout went smoothly. They were happy to arrange a cab if needed. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest.

The rooftop restaurant was so good that we went back more than once. It had lovely décor, views of the Basilica, and high-quality food and service. Breakfast was excellent too, with lots of choices in a beautifully decorated room, and friendly staff. Our room also looked out at the Basilica. It had everything we could think of, including a Nespresso machine, minibar, and ironing board. The shower was spacious, and the bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in anywhere, with lovely pillows and soft, high-quality bedding. The hotel is modern and was converted from a former school. The contemporary design works really well, especially the art in the corridors and breakfast room. As Raddison VIP members, we received Prosecco on arrival and more in our room, along with cheesecake. Every staff member we met was friendly and accommodating, and they went out of their way to help with questions and requests. I’ll definitely return to Budapest and this hotel.
