For the location and facilities, the value is amazing. These are a couple of nicely renovated rooms in an old building, and the stay feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel. You can’t pay by card, which is why I’m giving four stars. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend it.

There was no service, and self check-in came with no information. The room was roomy and clean, but we only had two shower towels and no hand towels. There wasn’t a microwave either.

The guide was lovely and funny, but there was less to see than I expected, and the tour lasts only 45 minutes. If you’re going in Budapest, it’s a must-see, and be sure to buy tickets ahead of time since they sell out so quickly on the day.

The breakfast was poor, the room horribly small, and the hotel felt skimpy. We asked for extra toilet paper and got none, then ran out and had to buy some ourselves. If you’re a masochist, stay here. If you love yourself, find somewhere else.

It’s really beautiful inside. I’d book the tour ahead of time to save a bit of time.
