The Amberlyn Suite Hotel

Our superior apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff were welcoming and took care of all our requests, and we enjoyed breakfast too. The hotel is on a quiet street, which made for a relaxing stay. It’s a little way from the main sights, but getting around was easy by public transport or Bolt. We had a great week here. Keep up the good work!

We had to ask for a room change because of the persistent unpleasant smell in the bathroom. There was also a strong odor from the wardrobes, and it caused me allergies and coughing. To me, this points to poor cleanliness and ventilation. The furniture looked worn and dirty, and seemed low quality, with signs of inadequate maintenance. I explained my health condition to reception and asked if we could check out at 12:00 instead of 11:00 as a small way to make up for the problems and improve the experience. The receptionist wasn’t willing to cooperate or be flexible. The room, service, and overall experience fell below what I expected. They didn’t match the price or even basic professional hospitality standards.

I liked the spacious, clean room, the fully equipped kitchen, the little welcome gift, and the minibar prices were reasonable. The location was convenient, and they gave me the quiet room I’d asked for. The hotel has eight floors but just one slow elevator, and some of its buttons didn’t work. On my first night I had to make the bed myself, which isn’t okay for a four-star hotel. Then the fire alarm sounded in the middle of the night and kept blaring for about 20 minutes, even though it was a false alarm.

The apartment was well equipped, and the service was good. We appreciated being able to store our luggage, and having a washing machine was useful. It’s not right in the city center, but tram 4/6 is so close that we didn’t miss being nearer. The extra bed, which is the sofa, was much less comfortable than we expected.
