The receptionist was kind and understanding, and tried to help us through an uncomfortable situation. That was the one good part of our stay at Rubin Wellness & Conference hotel. As soon as we walked into the room, the damp, musty smell and the state of the place were hard to ignore. The room felt old, which we could have lived with, but it smelled like carpets that had gone a long time without a proper cleaning. There was lots of hair on the sheets, some of it looking like pubic hair, and we took photos. We also saw boogers on the sheets. The table was sticky and had hair that looked like it came from someone's nose, along with crumbs. There were leftover chips on the floor. We didn't feel comfortable going in to check the bathroom. We left without sleeping there. Even though we didn't stay, the strict no-refund policy meant we still had to pay for the first night. We only got the remaining nights refunded after insisting. From what we saw, the hotel needs major work on hygiene and maintenance, and we can't recommend it.

I especially liked the modern, clean wellness area, particularly the jacuzzi and saunas. The hotel is also comfortable and very clean, in a great spot in Budapest. The staff are professional, and the food and drinks are great. Breakfast had plenty of delicious choices. I'd recommend Hotel Rubin for a private stay or a conference.

The rooms were spacious, neat, and clean, and everyone on staff was very kind. Zoltan at reception deserves a special mention, such a pleasant gentleman. I'd choose this hotel again if I return to Budapest. Definitely recommend it.

For a short stopover, this worked out well. The price was fair, and there's a secure, open parking area right out front that you can pay for at the hotel. The pools and hot water in the spa and wellness area were nice, and breakfast came included. Everywhere was clean and well kept. It's a bit away from the city center, but being beside the main road and public transport stops made getting around easy.

We spent a week in Budapest around the Formula 1 weekend at the Hungaroring, and would happily stay at Rubin Wellness Hotel again. Our room was clean and in good shape, though the walls showed some wear and could use a fresh coat of paint. We made good use of the pool, which our son especially loved. The restaurant food was very good, and breakfast was decent fuel for long days at the track. Service and hospitality were just what we hoped for. We really enjoyed our stay and would pick the hotel again on another Budapest visit.
