Silver Crown Hotel & Residence

We had a wonderful stay, and the location was perfect. The front desk and housekeeping teams were great, and everyone was patient and accommodating, especially when it came to helping those of us who don't understand Hungarian.

The room was spacious and had useful things like a coffee machine and kettle, and the hotel was clean and centrally located. But the beds were awful for me: the springs were too soft and the pillows were terrible, so I couldn't get a proper night's sleep. Breakfast wasn't worth €19 per person. There wasn't much choice, the staff seemed disorganized, the dining area wasn't especially clean, and the coffee was bad. The capsules in the room were better. I also found the staff indifferent and not very polite, sometimes rude and unwelcoming. It felt like answering my requests was a favor. I'd choose another hotel next time, especially since there are plenty of options in the city.

After a week squeezed into a cruise cabin, having room to spread out here was such a relief. The room was clean and comfortable, though a little warm. The front desk staff were helpful and knew their stuff, and the lifts came quickly. There’s a SPAR nearby for shopping, and while the kitchen supplies were basic, they covered what we needed. We could walk to restaurants or quickly get an Uber-taxi from this spot. We skipped breakfast, so I can't comment on it. The shower was slippery, and a grab bar would have helped. We asked for a bath mat, but got a small foot-drying mat instead. Maybe something got lost in translation.

Nazila and her team were so polite and helpful, and handled our requests with care. Our room was huge, with a kitchen area too, and the location suited us really well. We stayed recently and are already looking forward to coming back next year 😊
