The Old Mill Budapest

We were very comfortable and relaxed, which was exactly what we wanted. The flat has a lovely terrace overlooking rooftops and the city, plus a small but well-equipped kitchen that worked for a few days. There are plenty of restaurants and takeout options nearby. The place is central but away from the chaos, and public transport is easy to reach, with tram, bus, and metro about 300 meters away. Parking in the internal garage was available for about €8 a day. Cleanliness was excellent. The apartment worked well for a family, with comfortable beds, full equipment, and good soundproofing from the other apartments. Strong winds occasionally brought in some noise. The rooms were well air-conditioned. The windows don’t block all the light, which bothered me since I like to sleep in the dark. The bathrooms were generally very good and had everything needed, though the shower could only be fitted over the bathtub. A note about my ratings: quality matters to me, and I judge each stay in relation to its price. The more I pay, the higher my expectations. Most of my reviews come from 2-3 day solo work trips. Less often, I travel with my family, two adults and children aged 5 and 10, for trips 3-4 times longer. I use the same anonymous profile for one-star and five-star reviews. The order of my headings reflects my opinion, and it’s fine to disagree politely.

We had a fantastic stay in this well-equipped apartment in central Budapest. It even had a washing machine. Csaba, the friendly owner, welcomed us.

The apartment has a separate bedroom, plus a living room divided by a partition to make an extra bedroom. There’s also a kitchen and two bathrooms. It’s in the center but stays quiet, with shops and cafes an easy walk away. The Danube is nearby for evening strolls, and Corvin shopping center and currency exchange offices are about 10 minutes away. I really liked the place.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and the apartment was excellent and had everything we needed. We recommend it to everyone!
