If money is tight and you don't have another option, this place can work. The toilets get cleaned quickly and properly, and the staff are friendly, though check-in took a while. The rooms felt overcrowded and the doors wouldn't lock. Late at night, some guests came in, seemed to know the building manager, switched on their lights and introduced themselves. It's relatively safe since it's far inside the building, but with a bigger budget I wouldn't choose it.

A very bad stay, especially because of how the owner treated me. I messaged ahead to say I'd be working until 2 a.m. and would reach the hostel at 3, but got no reply. When I arrived at the time I'd said, he made me pay an extra 2,000 forints, or 5 euros, on top of the accommodation because I was late for check-in. He said I couldn't stay otherwise, so I paid because I was exhausted. Then he demanded another 2,000 forints, or 5 euros, for the locker key for my bag. Bad in every sense.

It's right in the center, but the rooms are in poor shape, the bathrooms aren't very clean, and the hallways smell bad. You have to pay extra to wash clothes or leave luggage in the luggage room. If you're hoping for a lively place to hang out with young people, this isn't it.
