Rókabérc Vadászház

The restaurant is attractive, but getting there by car was really difficult. It would help to have that mentioned on Google. We also learned, after a lot of effort communicating because people there don’t speak English, that you need to book ahead for dinner. You can’t just show up, lol.

A lovely spot, and the staff were very welcoming.

The setting around the hotel was wonderful, with fresh air, nature, and birdsong. Inside, the rooms and shared spaces were very clean, and the wellness area was great too. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it. My partner and I stayed for three days and two nights for my husband's birthday, and the owners helped me arrange a surprise. We arrived a bit late, but it was no problem, and the owner was ready to help with everything. We’ll definitely come back.

We had a lovely three days here at the end of February, tucked away in a friendly, welcoming place. Booking was quick and easy, and from the moment we arrived the owner was kind, straightforward, and quick to help. The welcome pálinka warmed us up in the snowy weather. We’re inexperienced hikers, but the trail map meant we could enjoy the scenery without any trouble. After our walks, we rested in clean rooms with comfortable mattresses. The wellness area is simple but enjoyable, and we visited it several times a day. During the pig slaughter weekend, the food and hospitality felt family-style and were delicious. In the game room, our group got to know other guests while playing and cheering each other on. I’d recommend the place to families and groups alike, and we’ll probably return too.
