We spent 14 days in constant stress, and the whole stay was a complete mess. We had to select one star to submit this, but we wouldn’t give the apartment building even that. We documented everything with photos. After reading other guests’ accounts as well, I can only advise against booking here. It should be reported to booking websites and removed at least until the problems are fixed. The building is centrally located in Hévíz, but the problems were numerous. I travel extensively as a journalist and have a broad basis for comparison. The furnishings were outdated or partly broken, and the fitness room equipment was also old or partly broken. The Wi-Fi almost never worked because routers in the individual hallways kept causing IP address conflicts. Cleanliness did not seem to be a priority. The roof had been damaged for some time, with water leaking into the premises. The front door was not locked, contrary to the insurance policy, so anyone could enter. In mid-July 2016, someone tried to break into our apartment. Witnesses said it was the building's housekeeper, acting without the owner's explicit permission, a warrant, or any apparent immediate danger. There was hardly anyone at reception, and no one seemed to be in the building either. A phone number was posted for contacting staff to get their duties done. Noise was another serious problem. The neighborhood was very noisy, with a hunting dog on the neighboring property barking frequently and for long periods. The house was poorly soundproofed, so we heard chairs being moved, televisions, conversations, stairwell noises, and every little thing. Aerobics classes with very loud music were held in the building, making the whole house vibrate. Parking spaces were often all taken, sometimes by visitors, which made it difficult for residents to park. Nearby parking required a paid ticket. On July 19, 2016, very young people from apartment 245 held a party in the building. Margarine, cigarettes, and other things were thrown from the top-floor balcony into the courtyard among parked cars. It was quite antisocial behavior.
