Ensana Therma Aqua

Good afternoon! We booked a seven-day stay, from December 15th to December 22nd, but left after just two days because we were so disappointed by the food. It wasn't tasty, and it wasn't fresh either. I can't understand how it could have gone so bad. We had no choice but to cancel the rest of our stay. Since we booked through Booking.com, we're also unsure how to get a refund. The receptionist told us to contact Booking directly and sort it out ourselves, which goes against Booking.com's rules.

The room was cozy, clean, and had a comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the several pools and saunas in the wellness area, and the all-inclusive drinks were pretty great. The hotel looks nice inside, and these parts met our expectations. Food was the biggest letdown. The website promises a wide choice of healthy, low-fat, low-calorie dishes, but the main courses were mostly fried chicken, fries, rice, oily Asian-style noodles, and pork wrapped in bacon. There wasn't much flavor, and some fruit was rotten or extremely underripe. The ice cream tasted very artificial and was poor quality. It didn't match what was promised online. The policies also felt unusually rigid. After checkout, we weren't allowed to use the spa. Early check-in even a little before 3 pm wasn't possible because the room supposedly wasn't ready, but we were told one could be made available for an extra €40-50 per person. The hotel was strict about guests' timing, yet all-inclusive drinks stopped at 10:45 pm, earlier than the advertised 11:00 pm. And although lunch seems like it should be part of all-inclusive, guests staying one night have to pay extra for it. Massage prices were incredibly high and not worth it. It gave the impression that real comfort came with extra fees. There were lots of international guests. The optional sauna programs and live music were very enjoyable and free, but it felt unprofessional that they weren't introduced in English or German. The performers also couldn't sing any non-Hungarian songs correctly, just gibberish. The hotel has some good points and potential, but the food and inflexible policies took a lot away from the experience.

We stayed three nights at Ensana Thermal Aqua on an all-inclusive package. The hotel, rooms, and restaurant were very clean, the food was tasty and varied, and the staff were friendly. Still, the package felt unfairly arranged: we paid for three days but seemed to get only about 2.66. Check-in was from 3 p.m., with a snack after lunch, and checkout was by 11 a.m., with breakfast only. There was also a safety problem with the kettle. It leaked and caused a short circuit. The pool listed on booking.com as closed from January 5th had already shut on January 4th. When we arrived on Saturday, the crowds around the elevators, restaurant, pools, and saunas were almost unbearable. Instead of a relaxing wellness break, it felt like mass tourism. For all these reasons, we wouldn't return for now.

More like a 3 star hotel with 3 star service. The spa was nice, renovated, and had thermal water from the lake, with enough sunbeds. There were a lot of elderly guests, which is understandable. The food was somewhat average, or below.
