Kalma Villa

The meals are served at the Hotel, and I have only good things to say about them. With half-board, breakfast, a set lunch, and the choice of dinner were all delicious. The apartments are quiet, well equipped, and in a convenient location. Just keep in mind that there are stairs, so this may not suit anyone who can't climb them.

We had a lovely stay. The villa has its own charm, and our clean room was practically furnished with a kitchenette. If booked, you can have a sufficient, good breakfast at the hotel a few minutes away on foot. The staff were very friendly, the prices reasonable, and the thermal lake of Heviz is also walkable.

This was a holiday exchange week, August 19-26. They asked us to switch, saying they would close once the holiday week ended. We had originally booked a three-bed room on the first floor, but ended up in a two-bed attic room. We only discovered this after three days, completely by chance. They hadn't put us on the first floor as the voucher said, but on the ground floor in a two-bed room, which they later cancelled. Neither room had mosquito nets, and the air conditioning was faulty. A mechanic got it to stay on, but then it switched on and off noisily every minute, day and night. Garage parking costs 7000 per night, so we walked and cycled to the car instead. There isn't bicycle storage. They only offered to put the bike somewhere in the hotel garage.
