I was very happy to have an 11 o’clock checkout. My room was a small apartment, with a little open kitchen, different lighting, and a high breakfast bar. Tea, water, and coffee were provided. It was quiet and nicely decorated, and there was private parking behind a gate. I arrived around 23:00, and a very kind, articulate woman came out to show me the entrance and parking area. Thank you for listening to me when I arrived! Köszönöm szépen!

A change to my earlier reservation meant I needed to book one night here, and I was very pleased with the stay. The room was equipped well, clean, and orderly, and the receptionist had thoughtfully warmed it before I arrived. Check-in and checkout were quick and simple, and she was courteous and very helpful. We’ll book here again on future trips.

A very bad experience, and I never ended up staying. I’d booked through Booking and received confirmation, then while driving back from Berlin I got a call from a woman speaking nonsense and insisting I cancel because the room was no longer available and someone else had taken it. After around 11 hours on the road, that was awful news to get. There were more exchanges, but I won’t write a novel about them. The whole interaction felt completely unprofessional. Avoid this apartment.

We were disgusted and uncomfortable the whole night. The place was dirty and badly maintained, with a bathroom in terrible shape and disgusting water. It felt more like a garage turned into accommodation than a proper hotel. We also had noise from the busy road right beside it, and the price was high for those conditions. We can’t understand the good ratings. Even one night here was horrible, and the hygiene was completely lacking.

The room was comfortable and very nice, and the staff made us feel welcome. Hotel royal apartments felt more like a motel than a hotel to me, but the value for money was good. Parking is limited, though that was only a minor issue. I recommend it and plan to book again on future trips.
