Thermal Hotel Balance Lenti

The thermal park is especially nice for kids. The rooms are spacious, the furniture is pleasant, and the toilet is separate. The hotel grounds are good, though it's at the edge of a small town with nothing interesting nearby. The bar at reception could use better service.

There's plenty to choose from in the pools, and the spas are lovely and roomy, with good facilities for kids, including three indoor slides. The biggest slide means walking through a chilly corridor and stairs while wet, and the little kids' pool is the coldest one. It'd be nicer if it were as warm as the large pool. The thermal bath saunas are spacious, and the wellness area is quiet and peaceful. Meals were tasty with a good variety at each sitting. On New Year's Eve the bread was dry and crumbly, unlike the soft, tasty bread on the other days. I also had a frustrating time trying to book a massage. After spending two days getting an appointment, I regretted paying for it. The man who gave it mostly rubbed oil on me and repeated the same five movements without pressure for all 25 minutes. I can only excuse that if it was his first day as a masseur; otherwise, it was inexcusable. The hotel itself is quiet and well placed for Slovenia, Croatia and Austria. The rooms are big enough, though they could be cleaner. Even with music playing in the restaurant until 4 on New Year's Eve, I couldn't hear it in the room. The sound insulation is excellent. It would also help if more of the staff understood English.

This was our third visit, and we're sure to come back. Everything was great, from the staff and rooms to the wellness area, massages and food. Breakfast and dinner both had lots of choices, and the cocktails at the lobby bar were delicious. The live band on Saturday evening was lovely, especially the woman with the beautiful voice. It felt peaceful and welcoming at hotel Balance. The other guests were friendly too, and the quiet was just right for relaxing body and mind. I'm grateful for the comfortable mattresses and the four pillows, we slept so well. The air is wonderfully clean, and there's a 5km trail through the woods nearby for a walk or bike ride. The indoor pools were wonderful, with water as hot as it should be, and the top floor wellness area was a great place to unwind. There was plenty of food in the restaurant, and everything we had was excellent. The modern rooms were spotless, and the bed was so comfortable that we slept very well. It's a non-smoking hotel, and the staff were kind and helpful. A great choice for families. I highly recommend it 😊👍.
