Royal Mediterran Hotel

I had a wonderful two-night stay at the Royal Mediterran Hotel. It's quiet and cozy, a lovely place to relax. Right beside Lake Balaton, it has stunning views, and you can spot beautiful swans nearby, which adds to the peaceful feel 🫠🤗 The staff were very kind and positive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I'd highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful getaway.

The views were stunning, and the jacuzzi, sauna, and great breakfast made our cozy, romantic weekend even better. It was affordable too, and the staff were really kind and helpful. The Christmas atmosphere was lovely. I'd stay here again :)

The reception team were a pleasure. Szonja and Bettina were especially friendly and helpful, and gave us all the information we needed despite the language barrier. We also appreciated how clean the apartment was and the parking lot right in front of the hotel. We had booked 2 nights for a short autumn break, planning to go to Budapest, but bad weather changed our plans and we stayed one more night at the Royal Mediterran Hotel. We had a spacious Penthouse apartment in a quiet, well-equipped hotel with a very nice view on Balaton. It had large bedrooms with room for more guests, a modern equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a living room with a dining table. There was also a large terrace with deckchairs and a barbecue, overlooking the garden and lake. Bicycles and canoes were included for free, though the weather meant we didn't use them. We did try the jacuzzi in the garden, which was satisfactory. Breakfast had a slightly smaller selection, but everything was very tasty, and the dinners we tried were quite good too. The TV in the living room had a faulty antenna. We didn't end up needing it. We highly recommend the hotel for a Lake Balaton holiday and would be happy to come back when we have the chance.

The one problem during our stay was some young men arriving on the third day and being very loud, including blasting music from a portable speaker. The staff knew about it but didn't step in, even though it was bothering the other guests. Otherwise, it's a pleasant hotel that deserves its 4 star rating. It's on the small side, which suits a relaxed, low-key holiday. There's a jacuzzi and sauna, boats can be rented, and the hotel has direct access to the lake.
