Rosengarten Hotel Restaurant

The wellness area never appeared to be open while I was there, though maybe it was available on request. I didn’t ask, so that may have been my fault. I came to Sopron for dental treatment and chose this hotel because it was closest to the clinic. I’ve stayed several times, and it would still be my pick if I needed to return. The rooms are large and well equipped, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant serves generous portions of outstanding food. I struggled to finish mine. Otherwise, it’s an excellent hotel.

The goulash soup was delicious, and the waiter was lovely and professional. First time eating here today, and I’ll definitely be back. Five stars for everything! xx

The food is decent, though nothing special, and they have a cake counter, which you don’t often see in a restaurant. But this was our second visit with a stroller, and nobody offered to help my husband carry it down the stairs. Yesterday the place was nearly empty, too.

The place itself looks nice and has a good atmosphere. That was the only part I liked. The food and service were both bad, and the waiter kept the tip without giving back the change. I’ve never seen that before. Somehow that was the highlight of the day. Probably the worst place I’ve been to in Hungary.
