It’s a handy place to stay for a trek to Turul monument. The girls were very nice once they warmed up, and their little bit of English was enough to get by. You pay extra for air conditioning each day. The beds weren’t great and the walls were thin, though that’s what you might expect at a budget motel. Cold beer and good soup.

I was there a few years ago and hoped things might have changed, but during my visit several meals weren’t available. The food seemed to be warmed or thawed in a microwave, and the beer came in a broken glass. Staff were rude and didn’t speak English. A tip was included in the price, but that was only explained in Hungarian.

The place was clean, but the staff were so bad. They didn’t smile or speak other languages. It was expensive, really, really expensive. I wouldn’t be happy to visit again. At most, one star.

The rooms are decent for a reasonable price. Food and service are okay too.
