We arrived late at night without a booking and were met by welcoming, helpful staff who were ready to help. The receptionist we met spoke perfect English and was really nice. It’s very comfortable, conveniently located for an overnight stop when travelling to or from the Balkans, and great value for the price.

It has its own parking and is cheap, better than other hotels in the same price range. The rooms are clean, but have no proper windows, just one small one that doesn’t open very well. There’s no air conditioning.

The restaurant food was nice, though we were given the tourist menu in euros. I think it would be cheaper for locals in forints, so ask for that menu. The room was clean and bright, and the hotel is worth the price if you’re aware of a few issues. There’s no air conditioning, and during hot weather my room got extremely hot. I was placed above the small local “supermarket,” which woke me early. Ask for a room away from the street.

We only stayed one night, so there isn’t much to go on. The room we got wasn’t impressive and felt like we were sleeping in a corridor. For just one night, though, I’d say the place is OK.

There was only hot water in the shower, so using cold water was impossible. You can’t pay by card, only cash.
