The receptionist was really friendly, breakfast was okay, and I liked the restaurant too. The rooms were a bit dated. I slept well, though, thanks to a very comfortable mattress and pillow. The shower was disappointing and not very clean, with a crazy amount of limescale on the shower head and a few light mold marks on the ceiling.

Room 106 had been updated and was spacious, with a refrigerator in the room. Mine faced the street, so traffic was noisy, though it quieted down during sleeping hours. Great spot for walking, with historic sites, places to eat, and shops all around. Most shops close around 5 pm.

Only the Finnish sauna was working, out of the few saunas, and the jacuzzi water was lukewarm. The spa staff didn't speak a word of English. I don't think they have changing rooms, since we had to change into bathrobes in our room and walk through the cold stairwell to the third floor spa. Parking in the hotel's lot is charged per person.

The rooms are spacious, but they need updating, and only the bathrooms seem to have been renovated. The hotel smells damp and feels stuck in another time. It needs a lot of work, including urgent remodeling. I wouldn't recommend it.

Right in central Zalaegerszeg, this hotel was quiet and pleasant. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast simple but good. Restaurant service was good too. Recommended.
