Kamari Hotel Ambon

The restaurant has a great menu of local specialties, Indonesian dishes, and all kinds of drinks. The fresh mango juice was delicious. Food took a very long time when we first arrived, though. We weren’t told that the orders ahead of ours would take more than 40 minutes, which was a big deal after a flight delayed by 7 hours. They did make it up to us by sending a complimentary fruit plate to the room. The hotel itself is simple but clean, and the shower pressure was much better than in most hotels around there. It’s near McD, a convenience store, and a souvenir shop. For me, it’s much better than a 4-star hotel a block away.

I’ve stayed in Ambon lots of times over the years, but this was my first time at this hotel. The rooms were clean, neat, modern, and very pleasing. The lift worked well, and there’s a large dining area for meals. Staff seemed quite happy for people to sit there outside meal times, too. There’s also a nice verandah-style area where you can have a coffee or a bintang if you want. Very happy with the stay.

The staff were all very friendly, and the food was another real plus. Room service and the hotel restaurant both had delicious meals at very reasonable prices, so we could eat well without leaving the hotel. I stayed at Kamari Hotel in Ambon with my children, and we had a wonderful time. Our spacious room was comfortable, with a large king-sized bed, and everything was clean and well-maintained. The air con, hot water, and fast WiFi were reliable, which made things relaxing and convenient. We arrived in the morning, before the official 2 PM check-in, and were able to get into the room early for an extra 50.000 Rupiah. That was really helpful with kids. I’d highly recommend Kamari Hotel to families visiting Ambon. It’s comfortable and affordable, and we’d love to come back.

The room, bed and sheets, towels, and even the alley were clean. Staff handled things well and were helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again.
