Bucu View Resort

There's a lovely outlook over the valley and river, with Ubud forest all around. The rooms are neat and clean, simple and fuss-free, and the staff are friendly and courteous. The resort restaurant works well for anything from breakfast to a late snack. Convenience stores, restaurants, and the usual Balinese shops are a short walk away.

The pool exceeded expectations, and the grounds are beautiful. Rooms are large but comfortable, and the staff really go out of their way to meet your needs. It's a superb hotel. It's a little far from the centre, about a 15-minute walk, though the views make up for that. I'd definitely stay again in Ubud, but if walking isn't for you, look elsewhere.

The property's natural beauty was mesmerizing, and our private pool villa had lovely river views. We also found the location good, with access to nice, lively spots around Ubud. Wi-Fi was a bit of an issue, which is understandable given the nature of the resort. Overall, a great experience!

The food menu offered a great choice, and the soups were particularly delightful. The pool was nice too, though at times it looked green and needed maintenance to clear it up. The setting is beautiful and immersed in nature, and several of the rooms have decent views. Staff were helpful and cheerful, but the services were very poor. Wi-Fi was subpar at best, with no signal at all in our room. The TV was dated and gave us no real control over streaming options. I understand it's a nature-focused hotel, but a somewhat more modern TV would've been nice. Room service was hit and miss. Sometimes requests were answered in ten minutes, other times cleaning or orders never showed up. At best, the experience was alright. For the cost and location, the resort needs improvement in many areas. I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.
