We got a full refund, thankfully, and moved to the hotel across Eco breeze, which has been much better. The staff here were lovely, but the rooms didn’t meet basic sanitary standards. Check-in was great, but once we entered the room I knew I wouldn’t stay. We looked at three rooms on the bottom floor. Each smelled bad and was dirty, and the bathroom was outside, something that hadn’t been mentioned on booking.com. The sheets were dirty, with white stains on the blue bed cover. When I took the pillow out of its case, it had black mould on it. We grabbed our things and checked out. Don’t stay here.

The rooftop breakfast was delicious and offered a great choice, and the hotel is a very short walk from the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The pool area was pleasant, with a few sun loungers, though one was broken. The rooftop needed tidying, with empty buckets and wooden planks lying around. The walls and room doors are thin, so it was noisy at night and kept me awake. Free yoga was advertised, but nobody told us we had to book with reception. We turned up ready for the Friday 5pm session and no one was there. The receptionist did lend us mats, so we had our own session instead.

The room at Echoland Bali was in poor condition, with a strong damp smell, mould, and unhealthy humidity. I raised it with management, but they offered neither a refund nor meaningful help. It looked nice online, but in reality it was uncomfortable and badly maintained. I hope they take the feedback seriously and improve the rooms. That level of moisture and mould isn’t acceptable or healthy for guests.

In the middle of busy Canggu, this place feels calm and lets you unwind away from the streets. The rooms are clean and lovely, the pool is refreshing, and the breakfast is delicious. The staff are very friendly, and it’s great value compared with places nearby.

The room was spacious and nice, and I especially liked the bathroom. There’s a big pool, the beach is close, and the staff were so friendly. Definitely coming back! 🫶🏻😍
