Hotel Kumala Pantai

The gardens are gorgeous, like being in a tropical jungle, and the pools are massive. It's an older place in legian, but my room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful with me and my baby while we were travelling alone. They played with him and held him when I needed to do something quickly. Breakfast staff were lovely too, and reception was accommodating. Each night I asked for bottled water for his milk and it arrived quickly. The rooms were cleaned well. For the price, this is a good choice if you're after comfort and a semi-luxury feel. It's also great for children.

There are two lovely pools, one surrounded by tropical shade and loungers, and the other with a swim-up bar. Breakfast is a superb buffet, and the rooms are spacious with the usual international hotel facilities. Coming in from the busy streets outside, there's a noticeably quiet feeling here. The beach is just a short walk across the road, a great spot to watch the sunset.

We'd been staying in Legian for years, but this is our new favorite motel. The rooms are roomy, comfortable and well equipped, set in a beautiful jungle-like garden. The complimentary buffet breakfast was delicious, the restaurant was good, and there's a beach at the back. Out front you can find a massage place, an honest money changer, coffee and a little supermarket. There are two big, clean pools too. We heard fewer screaming kids here than at the Jayakata.

We've tried a lot of hotels in bali, and this is definitely one of our favorites. The location is perfect, right across from legian beach. The restaurant is usually busy and has lots of variety, breakfast is good, and there are two large pools with plenty of sunlounges. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable.
