Lubdhaka Canggu Residence

After living in Bali for eight months, this is the first place where I’ve had service like this, and I can’t recommend it. We went four days without housekeeping, there was no water in the cooler, and it didn’t feel safe to leave our belongings behind. A package of hookah tobacco we’d bought for 1.5 million rupees was left on the balcony and disappeared a day later. The staff didn’t pay attention, the cameras weren’t working, and they couldn’t compensate us. It was a very unpleasant situation.

The price is very good, and the staff are great. The accommodation is nice and in a good district of Canggu. Rooms are clean, though not the newest. Breakfast and the restaurant food were always nice.

There’s plenty of potential here, and the room is spacious. Check-in hours are flexible, there’s nice greenery and a cute balcony, and the staff smile. Free parking too. But we booked a week and weren’t happy at all. For a night or two, you might be fine. The biggest problem was the poor cleanliness and service. There was mold inside the fridge and in the bathroom, and stains all over the bathroom floor, sink, and toilet that could probably come off with a deep clean. The sheets and towels were stained too. There was an ant nest, with ants everywhere. I got sick after three days here because of the bathroom mold. The shower curtain was gone, and there was no mop to clear the water off the floor. No hand soap was provided; when I asked, they said they didn’t have any. They did provide a disposable toothbrush, but only one large towel and no hand towel. Breakfast was included, but only three of the choices were available, and what we got was incomplete: eggs, one piece of bread, and butter. When I asked why, they again said they didn’t have the rest anymore.

I spent two weeks here and really had nothing to complain about. The ambience was wonderful, the rooms clean, the technology modern, and the internet good. The staff were super nice and helpful, and there’s direct parking and 24-hour security. The location and service are great for the price. I’d come back again and again.
