Mercure Kuta Bali

We booked a deluxe room with a balcony. It was a decent size and had all the amenities, with good cleanliness and polite staff. The breakfast buffet had plenty of tasty options. Right in front of Kuta Beach, the location is excellent, and the infinity pool is the main highlight, with a stunning sea view.

Our room still wasn’t ready when we came back at 2:30 PM, half an hour after the scheduled 2:00 PM check-in. We had arrived earlier and asked about checking in early, but accepted the explanation that the room wasn’t ready then. Since reception already knew we’d arrived and made the request, I expected better communication and preparation. The front desk service felt unprofessional and poorly managed. As a local guest, I found it especially disappointing. Every guest should get the same attention and respect, and from a hotel in the Accor Group, I expected a higher standard of hospitality. I hope management reviews its service standards and improves check-in for future guests.

The location worked really well, with the market area and beach both about two minutes from the hotel. The rooms were very good, and the viewing deck had a great beach view. Check-in was the letdown. Even though we arrived late, we waited another 30 minutes for rooms, which was disappointing for such a big hotel. We’d booked three deluxe rooms, but only two were ready. They upgraded one of them, though we still waited around an hour.

The infinity pool and bar were a real highlight, and the staff were consistently helpful and courteous. We stayed at Mercure Kuta Bali as a couple and booked an Ocean View Room right in front of Kuta Beach. The view from the room and balcony was stunning, and I’d recommend that room to couples wanting a memorable, romantic stay. The hotel is right in the city center. Starbucks, Pizza Hut, and Hard Rock Café are next door, with a mall within walking distance and the local market nearby. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back. Highly recommended!
