Restu Bali Hotel

After three hours in Bali traffic, I was so relieved to arrive. The hotel is quite large, with a quiet restaurant at the front and a path leading inward to a small garden and pool. A hot shower helped me forget the traffic and Kuta’s money-scammers. I walked to the beach in 15 minutes to watch the sunset, then had a quiet dinner at the hotel restaurant and slept pretty well. The room was nice, and the stay was comfortable.

We left after just a few hours. The room was small and filthy, smelled of mould, and had broken curtains, wallpaper coming off, and lights that didn’t work. There was no hot water, the fridge was mouldy, and nobody cleaned the room or took the rubbish. They didn’t replace the water either. Breakfast was basic and seemed to be handled without care. The pool was neglected and full of leaves, so we didn’t use it. When I asked for a partial refund, the answer was bluntly no. Please don’t waste your money here. Disgusting.

The location and price are good, but the hotel is so dirty that I can’t recommend staying here. The pool wasn’t usable, wifi didn’t work, and there was dirt beside the beds. The bathroom was the most disgusting I’ve ever seen, with dirty floors, walls, and ceiling, and overflowing trash cans. Cats were all over the hotel, and the smell of cat poop hit as soon as I arrived. Staff were never around, so I had to look for them. I told them how dirty the bathroom was, but nothing was done. I’d rather pay a bit more than feel disgusted using the bathroom. Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever been to.

The rooms were mouldy and disgusting, with hair in the sinkhole, all over the bath and floor, and under the beds. Everything was very outdated. I changed rooms because the first one smelled of mould, but the next room, supposedly an upgrade, was just as bad. It could be a nice little hotel if they fixed it up. I was foolish not to read the reviews before booking the package, my fault.
