The Alantara Sanur by Pramana

The quiet setting was ideal for unwinding after exploring Sanur. Our room was clean, comfortable, and nicely designed, with lovely traditional details. The bathroom had a modern feel, though the doors took up so much room that it felt a bit cramped. The reception and restaurant teams were wonderful, friendly, and helpful, even with interns on staff. We also got a complimentary 10-minute spa treatment, which was a nice extra. It left us wishing it could have lasted longer.

We couldn't have asked for a better first stop in Bali after arriving with our baby. The place is lovely, with lots of greenery and space, and the staff were all so kind. We enjoyed the food too, especially the varied breakfast menu. It was a wonderful start to our holiday, so we booked another stay for the end of the trip before leaving. Highly recommend!

The staff at Alantara Hotel were attentive and courteous throughout, and there are cafés, spas, and local warungs within an easy walk. A free shuttle to the city center and back was handy too. We spent our final three nights there before heading home, in a one-bedroom pool villa with breakfast included. It was spacious and beautifully designed, with a gorgeous private pool. Breakfast had lots of choice, from hot dishes and fruit to sweet treats and eggs made all sorts of ways. The coffee was especially good. We were very happy with the stay and would gladly return.

The older rooms were the one weak point. When we checked in, the a/c was leaking and there was already a large puddle on the floor, which should have been spotted earlier. The staff quickly moved us to another room, though. Away from the main beach area, the hotel has a lovely pool and relaxing scenery. A short free shuttle or cab ride gets you to the beach walk area in about 10 mins. The food was outstanding, and the included breakfast had plenty for all kinds of appetites. They also held special evenings, including Valentine dinner and Balanize night, with entertainment. If you're after traditional Bali surroundings, with greenery and Balinese decor, this place has that feel. The staff treat it as their home and are proud to welcome guests. Service was exceptional, especially from Ita, who was personal, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in you. I'd recommend it for a quieter, nature-focused Bali stay.
