OYO 2919 Andung Residence

The location is great, with no trouble finding essentials nearby, and the WiFi is good. My scores: location 9/10, WiFi 10/10, room 6/10, staff professionalism 3/10, overall 8/10. The room was decent, and the staff were friendly, though they could use more training in professionalism. At checkout they forgot to give back my ID card, even after I told them I’m forgetful. It was eventually sorted out, but I had to drive back from 350km away to get it.

It wasn’t worth the price. They charge per person rather than per room, and checkout is at 9 am. The room was small with dim lights, the TV didn’t work, and the bathroom was cramped and smelly. There was no kitchen or bathroom facilities.

The room came with a bed for two, two towels, and air conditioning. The bathroom was a bit cramped, and it took a while for the hot water to heat up. I was a little disappointed by the cost, though: the app listed IDR 118,000, then they charged an extra IDR 82,000 at check-in.

This hotel was really cruel and rude about it. I’d booked for Sunday night on Tuesday, paid in full through Traveloka, and my name was in their computer system, but they sold my room without checking with us. I was visiting from out of town with an 8-month-old baby, and at 11 pm on New Year’s Eve I had to find some other hotel in a place I didn’t know. They wouldn’t refund me either and told me to request it through the Traveloka app. God forbid!!!!!!
